On September 27, 2025, around 8-9 pm, alleged national security operatives, led by Warrant Officer Amevortse, stormed a private residence in Ho and towed away three vehicles and a Suzuki motorcycle. The operatives claimed the vehicles were not “customed,” but documents proved ownership and payment of duties.
Customs Division’s Findings
The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority confirms duties were paid on the vehicles and motorcycle, raising questions about the raid’s justification and the operatives’ conduct.
Owner’s Reaction
The vehicle’s owner, an NDC sympathizer, is outraged and seeking compensation for damages. He has petitioned the President to investigate and take disciplinary action.
Investigation Underway
The Volta Regional Police Command is investigating, and suspected operatives are being probed. Authorities are working to recover assets and ensure accountability.
